This sapele closet was built for a stately home near Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. It is reached through the master bathroom on the top floor of the home. Just outside this closet is a deck with a great view of the Center City skyline. In keeping with the style of the rest of the house, which is fitted with an exquisite combination of wood and plaster trim details, the doors are solid wood, raised panel doors - with a few glass doors added to showcase favorite items. To create the necessary depth, we made the sapele closet cabinets a full twenty-four inches deep. The doors swing on concealed, soft-closing Salice Silentia hinges. While not apparent in this photo, the marble top on the island, which is on casters so that it can be moved about the room, is underlit by LED string lights.
