We built this long painted wall shelf for a client in Penn Valley, PA. It really helped break up a long, high, and empty expanse of wall while creating a great place to keep books and display mementos. The shelf and brackets are made of solid poplar and painted with latex paint to match the rest of the molding in the room. We used hidden fasteners on the brackets and secured them into the studs to create a safe, solid support for the shelf.
