Rift Sawn White Oak Galley Kitchen

This rift sawn white oak galley kitchen is in a home on Cypress St. in Philadelphia, not far from Rittenhouse Square. The long, narrow space was a natural fit for a galley kitchen. Working from a design by Shimi Zakin, we built these modern style cabinets. Using the Senso system from Häfele, the white glass and rift sawn oak doors on the upper cabinet open upward. At the end of the kitchen is a refrigerator/freezer with integral panels. The panel on the left side of the end wall is a door to the basement. After this picture was taken, a gray painted piece of single glass was installed as the backsplash.
